At Dorcas Jane Interiors in Hertfordshire, we are specialists in creating homes that are perfectly in tune with the people who live in them.
We listen to your ideas and provide top-quality soft furnishings and upholstery to match, carefully selected and customised to fit with your desired look and feel. We create beautiful handmade curtains, blinds, cushions and more. We also bring life back to cherished chairs and sofas using modern and traditional upholstery techniques.
Serving clients across North London, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, we help make your home more comfortable, more distinctive and more you.
We will start by visiting you in your home so that we can discuss, understand and visualise your needs and ideas.
We’ll guide you with design and fabric choices to fit your budget
We’ll then provide a measuring and fitting service for your complete peace of mind.

Book a consultationAll of our curtains are hand-sewn and available in a variety of pleats or gatherings. We provide pelmets and fascias to achieve your desired look, as well as high-quality linings and inter-linings, and can also advise on tracks and poles. Since the devil is in the detail, we will measure and arrange to fit your new curtains if you so require.
Hand-sewn to ensure a perfect fit, our blinds can be made from a wide range of patterned or plain fabrics and enhanced and embellished with trimmings or a contrast border. Our blinds can also be made with a range of inter-linings, including black-out, to suit their use and setting.
We design and make eye-catching scatter cushions, box cushions, bolsters, French-mattress cushions, window seats and floor cushions as well as stunning fabric lampshades to fit any room scheme.
Our upholstered headboards and coordinating valances bring softness, warmth and character to any room scheme. We also produce bed runners, quilts and bedspreads, and can revitalise existing headboards with fresh new fabrics.
Do you have a favourite chair in need of new springs or yearning for a revamp? A sofa the kids and dogs have ruined with jammy fingers and dirty paws? An eBay find you’d like restored? That’s where we come in. Using traditional and modern upholstery techniques and an interesting array of exquisite fabrics, we can regenerate beloved furniture pieces for years to come. We can also provide bespoke new items such as ottomans, footstools, headboards and cushions.
